Lovely day for an impromptu hike
I got home from the movies and decided that, despite the snow, taking the dogs for a hike sounded fun.

Rocket’s X-ray
Rocket had been limping a bit so I took him to the Vet to get checked. His shoulder was hurting so they took an X-ray to check the joints. Everything looks good so he probably just sprained his shoulder.
Christmas Pups
Rocket hurt his leg jumping off the bed this morning
The vet said he has a sprained knee and has to take it easy for a few days.

Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Fernwood Park to Adams Canyon
We decided to hike the Bonneville Shoreline Trail from Fernwood Park to where it intersects Adams Canyon. I really enjoyed the trail. It was a bit rainy and muddy today, but a little water never hurt anyone.

Wild Rose Trail Loop
Today I started working on the 2013 Hiking List. Started with the Wild Rose Trail Loop. It’s a really nice trail system. We came around a corner and were only a couple dozen yards away from 3 deer on the hillside. They started bounding into the trees when they saw us and unfortunately I still had my camera in it’s pouch and wasn’t able to get it out in time. We only did 1.7 miles cause we took the shortcut instead of the longcut. Whoops. There are a handful of different trails there so I may have to go back and do one of the other routes.
